Parade of Homes features 58 homes, 21 cities and it’s free

Visitors will be able to tour almost five dozen homes in 21 cities throughout the metro Denver area, from Aug. 14 through Labor Day, in the 2010 Denver Parade of Homes. The Home Builders Association of Metro Denver, which for the first time is not focusing the parade  in one community, in addition to that new twist on the traditional parade,  today announced another first – entry to the 58 homes in the parade will be free. In its 23-year history, there always had been a charge to people touring parade homes.

Although spread throughout the Front Range, all the homes in the parade are new and have  never been occupied. They also have the largest range in prices of any parade in the past.  The homes are for sale, some are luxury custom homes, others are furnished models, some are townhomes, and one features land that is available for sale to build a home. For example, some homes on the parade will be priced at less than $200,000, while in the past they were typically priced at $1 million or more. On the other hand, for those who like to gape at the truly spectacular homes, there will be one priced at more than $6 million, as well as a number of other seven-figure homes.
