Case-Shiller: Denver shows strength in October

The latest S&P/Case-Shiller report shows signs of the Denver-area housing market improving in October.  The city ranked #1 for seasonally adjusted changes from September to October with a 0.3% gain, compared with an overall drop of 1% for the 20 cities tracked by Case-Shiller.  Denver and Washington, D.C., were the only cities to be in positive territory in the month-to-month, seasonally adjusted ranking.  “I think you have come across the crown jewel of the Denver market,” said independent real estate broker Gary Bauer.  “I think that is something many people will not know.  Even though our transactions are down in the latter half of the year, prices have held their own and in some cases are up a bit.”  Read article:
