Homes prices up in metro Denver as for-sale inventory tightens

Metro Denver home prices shot up in October as the inventory of available homes tightened.  Single-family homes sold at a median price of $255,000 – a 12.8% increase from October 2011.  Inventories dropped sharply, with 9,719 homes on the market – a 31.3 percent decline from a year ago.  “Buyer demand continues with no end in sight,” said the report’s author, real estate analyst Gary Bauer.
